MUSIC FROM THE UNDERGROUND FM ERA, 1965-1975
I met my future Audio Aftermath co-producer and co-host Dick Rosemont when we worked as DJs at a carrier current AM station at Michigan State University. We shared an interest in the "underground FM" music scene.
We launched Audio Aftermath five nights a week on WKAR-FM, the NPR station at MSU. Totally free-form, with lots of local community involvement. Audio Aftermath had a successful four year run, but times had changed and we moved on to other careers.
Audio Aftermath Radio is back with a focus on the music of the underground FM era, programmed in free-form sets, and made available to NPR stations through the Public Radio Exchange. I hope the program brings back happy memories. -- Dan
